About Student Council

Student Council

Student Council is made up of many Washburn Students, ranging from 9th graders to 12th graders. Student Council plans events, like dances and more for Washburn High School.

GENERAL GROUP INFO:  Student Council is a leadership group that meets weekly and plans activities throughout the school year. Some activities have included leading freshman orientation, running Homecoming festivities, and organizing the winter dance. In addition, Student Council runs blood drives and initiates service projects – school, local and global.

MISSION: Our mission is to be involved in the Washburn community with the aim to better every student’s experience. Student council will be representatives of the student body, and work collaboratively with administration and staff to improve the school. Student council will focus on student advocacy, service projects, school spirit and school events.
